Alert Technology - Crowdfunding campaign coming soon Alert Technology - Crowdfunding campaign coming soon

Alert Technology Ltd hope to soon join Crowdcube’s elite #fundedclub when we launch our own crowdfunding round later in September 2016.

Alert Technology Ltd (a spin-off of The Select Group of Companies Ltd) has developed the Asbestos ALERT believed to be the world’s first warning device that can actually distinguish between asbestos and non-asbestos fibres in real-time.

Asbestos ALERT Pro 2016 Beta

Asbestos, a category 1 human carcinogen, is the biggest occupational killer in the world, responsible for approximately 100,000 deaths every year (Source WHO) - that's roughly 1 person every 5 minutes and in the UK it claims 5,000 lives a year according to the HSE, which is considerably more than traffic fatalities (Source UK HSE Website).

Many wrongly assume that because asbestos was banned in the UK in 1999 that it no longer poses a risk. Unfortunately due to the extensive use of asbestos for generations asbestos presents a massive legacy problem. Many homes, commercial and public buildings built prior to the ban may contain asbestos which when disturbed or degraded will release toxic fibres into the air. The National Union of Teachers estimates the number of UK schools containing asbestos to be 86%, based on a Freedom of Information request to local authorities.  In the UK, Europe and Australia legislation is all moving towards greater monitoring, control and ultimately the safe removal of all asbestos which means the market is ripe for new disruptive technology such as Asbestos Alert.

Lightweight, portable and affordable the Asbestos ALERT once launched in 2017, will warn users in real time if asbestos is disturbed and fibres have been released in to the environment, helping prevent prolonged inadvertent exposure and allowing crucial knowledge so that safety precautions can be taken.

Whilst Asbestos ALERT will not get rid of the asbestos problem it will provide a first line of defence to help save future lives from asbestos related diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestosis and other related cancers.

Alert’s patented*, disruptive technology has two models ready for rapid commercialization and is now looking to raise a total of up to £2.5m equity investment over the next two years to fast track Alert’s global market launch, create new jobs in the area and to begin research and development on new industry specific models.

Alert have already secured a cornerstone instiutional investor and are looking to raise the balance of funds needed with a campaign on Exeter based Crowdcube - the world's first and leading investment crowdfunding platform with over 300,000 registered members and over £185 million successfully raised to date.

Just last month Crowdcube successfully completed their own funding round raising over £8m in growth capital from 3,700 investors proving that in spite of the uncertainty of our current political climate, people are still willing to invest in innovative British businesses.

You may pre-register your interest on our website today for early access to our campaign 24 hours before it goes public. Please note, pre-registering puts you under no obligation to invest.
