Survey from the British Lung Foundation aims to help minimise the risks tradespeople are exposed to.
Asbestos is a killer – every week around 20 tradesmen in the UK die as a result of coming into contact with this dangerous material and breathing in its fibres.
It is the single greatest cause of work-related deaths in the UK. Not only is asbestos deadly, it can take anywhere from 20 to 50 years for the symptoms to develop and present themselves, which is why it’s so important for tradesmen to be aware of the risks.
The British Lung Foundation has launched a simple, online survey to collate the experiences of people in the trades and will use the data gathered as part of a project which aims to help minimise the risks to tradespeople.
It takes just a few minutes to fill in and you could provide information which proves lifesaving.
Everybody who participates will be automatically entered into a prize draw and will have the chance to win £250-worth of materials.
